    Message from Lars:
I like this video and it's at A440. My preference is for some of the more modern productions but they perform it at A415. This is a problem because some people listen to it for hours and hours and get it in their ear and then when we get together they sing flat. When recommending they listen to various recordings, suggest that they check the tuning and be aware that if it is at A415 this could be a problem.

If you would like to watch/listen to the work, conductor Lars recommends the following recording:

SATB Choir

  • Alleluja, Diestro
  • Flight Song, Euan Tait
  • Sure on This Shining Night, Lauridsen
  • Kettle Valley Railway, Dave Baker/ Larry Nickel
  • Fyer, Fyer, Thomas Morley
  • In the Evening, Stephen Smith

Orchestra

  • Railway Station, Oskar Morawetz (in celebration of the composer's centennial)
